Expatriate Payroll Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Selected to create and maintain internal website for company Expatriate and Domestic
Payroll Departments.
- Serve as Local Administrator for the computer systems and software for both Expatriate
and Domestic Payroll.
- Convert data and records from previous Expatriate Payroll Department to the new one.
- Serve as primary company contact for KPMG-Peat Marwick for all Tax Equalization issues.
- Track and make payment/collection arrangements for all Expatriate Tax Equalizations.
- Serve as the IVR Phone System Administrator, maintaining telephone inquiry payroll
information system.
- Serve as the Motorola Expatriate Stakeholder Administrator, managing new bonus program
data and payments.
- Compile and submit monthly and ad hoc reporting for more than twenty sites.
- Convert reports into files to load into the system bi-weekly.
- Load file updates into GEMS system as needed (COLA, Hardship, Hypothetical Tax, Payroll
Detail, etc.)
- Collect, track, process and load offshore payment information from 80 foreign locations
quarterly.
- Create process and balance spreadsheets to track RONA Bonus Deferrals, Accrued Interest
and Payouts. Create process and balance spreadsheets to track French Split Payroll
deductions due to rate fluctuations. Review, recommend and implement changes to reduce
paper and cycle time.
Accomplishments:
- Initiated and desiged internal websites for two departments with external and internal
applications.
- Successfully converted previous departmental data and procedures to new department and
system.
- Redesign programs and processes during complete payroll system upgrade.
- Department leader in installing procedures and software for new manual direct deposit
process.
- Learned to manage two new payroll systems and several related programs that interface
with it.

Responsibilities:
- Run the Expatriate Payroll System.
(Input and calculate data, process disbursements & manage databases.)
- Manage Year End Processes & Databases.
(W-2's, W-2C's, 4782's and 1099's)
- Manage, order and send out Savings Bonds for expatriates.
- Download on-line reports, track and prepare for processing.
- Transmit JV files and other monthly data files to various Motorola entities.
- Review, recommend and implement changes to reduce paper and cycle time.
- Create process and balance spreadsheets to track RONA Bonus Deferrals, Accrued Interest
and Payouts.

Accomplishments:
- Create new Offshore Payment Tracking System to allow greater versatility in managing and
reporting the data.
- Year End Offshore Follow-Up Project reduced missing Offshore Reports from 26% to 8%.
- Create new W-2 and 4782 processes, reducing opportunities for error and cycle time by
several weeks.
- Self-educate intricacies and programming techniques for the Expatriate Payroll system to
improve processes.
- Helped department move from DOS computers to Windows, and then to WindowsNT and current
software.

- Balance daily & monthly share draft, certified draft, electronic debit/credit, ATM,
