RIGBY REACH FOR READING
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a Reach for Reading program last?
Each session is ten weeks in length, allowing three full sessions per school year.
How many students can go through the programs?
That depends on how many tutors you assign, but the average number per school is fifty-plus. Many Reach for Reading schools are tutoring more than a hundred students per school year.
Who implements the program?
Like many programs, Reach for Reading Tutors can be teachers. But what makes this program different is that Reach for Reading tutors can also be non-certified professionals, known as "teacher's assistants" or "paraprofessionals."
In addition, if a school has volunteers who are dedicated and committed to the Reach for Reading program, these people can also act as tutors.
What does the Reach for Reading Consultant do?
The Consultant comes to your school on a regular basis to insure that the program is working for your school, your tutors and your students. They offer tips and new ideas whenever needed, and keep your RfR tutors on task and excited about what they are doing.
How much does it cost for the RfR Consultant to come to our school?
Nothing. As long as you are a Reach for Reading school, utilizing either the Reaching Up or Reaching Higher program, regular school visits are a part of our commitment to your school's success.
What do the Reach for Reading programs cost?
There is a one-time site fee and a "consumables" fee for each student's materials. For specific information on costs, please contact your regional sales consultant.
How do we get started?
Contact your regional sales consultant, who will begin the process by explaining the program and how to purchase it.
