RIGBY REACH FOR READING TRAINING AND ONGOING SUPPORT

What makes Reach for Reading different is our confidence in our ability to train and support a variety of personnel as tutors, and our continuous support of our programs.  By utilizing paraprofessionals, teacher's assistants, Americorps volunteers - or any other available resource - Reach for Reading schools across the country are seeing significant results... at a very low cost per student. The first reason for this success is training. Reach for Reading programs are very structured, and once a tutor is comfortable with the lesson plan and the various components used in each session, they become effective reading tutors. And at Reach for Reading, we will make sure they do. Your school will be serviced on a regular basis by the Reach for Reading School Support Consultant in your area.  Our support consultants are former teachers and reading specialists and they are experts in the Reach for Reading programs.  Your consultant will train your personnel and ensure that your tutors understand their roles in this exciting adventure.  Consultants will work closely with the Reach for Reading Facilitator at your school who will oversee the program and be in charge of the administrative duties.  Your consultant will also assist your tutors in setting up and implementing the program and will make sure it gets off to a good start. But at Reach for Reading, our commitment does not end there. We know that too many good programs end up on a shelf, gathering dust, and not achieving the goals that they were designed and purchased to meet.  At Reach for Reading, we want to be sure our programs meet your schools' needs.  Your Reach for Reading School Support Consultant will make periodic visits to your school, at no additional cost, to make sure everything is on track and that your tutors are operating at maximum efficiency.  And, of course, your RfR Consultant is always available by phone or fax to answer any questions you have. We know our programs work best when all the people involved work together to help the children, and we have developed our support system to ensure that all the players do their jobs effectively.
