Star Awards
The Rigby Star Program has been designed to recognize employees
who have demonstrated any one or all five of the Core
Values set forth by our parent company Reed Elsevier. While
the Presidents Club recognizes long term and continued excellence
in job performance, the "Star" program is a way to reward
an employee for exemplifying their commitment to these Values
in relation to a specific act.
Star Awards will be given out on a quarterly basis, and nominations
can be submitted for this award at any time, effective immediately.
A mailbox has been ordered for the Star Award nominations,
and will be located in the lunchroom. Please e-mail any
questions you may have to the Values Team (values.team@rigby.com
or just type "Values Team" in the TO: box)

Q and A's
Q. What can I nominate a co-worker for?
A. You may nominate a co-worker for actively demonstrating
any or all of the Reed Elsevier Values.
Q. Who is eligible to nominate and receive a Rigby Star?
A. All Rigby employees are eligible to nominate any co-worker
and all Rigby employees are eligible to receive a Rigby Star,
except Executive Staff.
Q. How do I nominate a co-worker to be recognized as a
Rigby Star?
A. Simply complete a nomination form and deposit in the
nomination box located in the kitchen. Nomination forms
can be found on the Intranet by following the forms
link or clicking here.
Printed versions can also be found near the nomination box
in the kitchen.
Q. How often will nominations be accepted and how many
employees will be recognized?
A. Nominations will be accepted prior to each quarterly
meeting. There will be a maximum of five recipients per
quarter. Nominations do not carry over quarter to quarter.
Q. How are the final selections made?
A. After all nomination forms have been received prior
to each quarterly meeting the nominations will be reviewed by
members of the Values Team with final selections made by Steven
Korte.
Q. What do individuals who are recognized as Rigby Stars
receive?
A. Individuals who are recognized by Steven Korte during
quarterly meetings will receive a cash award of $100 along with
a medallion that can be proudly displayed in your office or cubicle.
